Columbus Physical Therapy’s motto is “The Feel Good Experience,” but we believe that “the feel good experience” has a place far beyond our treatment rooms and gym floor… For example, in the hearts and minds of our American troops who are deployed in hostile and remote regions of the world. The physical conditions they must endure are difficult and they may be separated from loved ones for long periods of time, which is especially difficult during Christmas.
We’re inviting you to contribute care package items that will be sent to our courageous men and women overseas.
Suggested items for care packages include:
- Baby Wipes - packets are better than tubs.
- Beef Jerky/Slim Jims
- Energy Bars
- Hot Sauce (Tabasco, Red Devil, etc.)
- Sunflower seeds or Peanuts
- Seasoning Salt (Lawry's, etc.)
- Atomic Fireballs / Jolly Rancher hard candy (for service member use)
- Smarties or SweetTart candies (for local children who prefer sour tasting candy)
- Powdered Energy/Electrolyte Replacement Drink Mix (Gatorade, etc.)
- Chewing Gum
- Avon Skin So Soft - great for removing face paint and also reputed to be an effective bug repellant
- AA-cell Alkaline Batteries
- Personal Hygiene Gear: Disposable Razors, Toothbrush and Tooth Paste
- Eye Wash / Drops (Visine, etc.) for flushing dust and sand out of the eyes
- Any items that could possibly melt during transport or in the hot temperatures of the Middle East are discouraged!
