Wellness Programs

  • Now that you've completed your physical therapy program, what next?

  • How do you maintain the level of health and wellness you feel right now?

  • How do you keep improving your fitness level?
There's one answer to all three questions!

Participate in the Columbus Physical Therapy, P.C. Wellness Program!
It's a great way to transition from rehabilitation into a regular exercise routine.

Columbus Physical Therapy, P.C., offers a Wellness Program to help you maintain or improve your fitness and energy level to create a healthier and more active you.

If you have been recently discharged from therapy, you may begin a Wellness Program simply by registering with our front desk. If you have not been recently discharged from a physical therapy program, an appointment may be made with one of our therapists who will help design a wellness program for you.

During your initial appointment, the therapist will design an exercise/fitness program to meet your unique needs and help you begin your exercise program. Then you can follow the plan at your own speed, on your own time.

In either case, once you begin your fitness plan, no appointment is necessary.

Some people are more likely to stick with something when they have others to encourage them. Coming to Columbus Physical Therapy, P.C. several times a week gives you an opportunity to make friends you look forward to seeing each time you go.

Because a wellness program is not a medical treatment, insurance does not cover the costs associated with it or with the initial appointment to set it up.

"I had such success with my physical therapy that I wanted to continue my exercises after I had finished treatment. It was a great decision. I can come in whenever the clinic is open and I don't need to make an appointment. It is so convenient. Plus, I get to continue seeing my friends at Columbus Physical Therapy. It's a win-win." --CK

Tips to a healthier you...

  • Run errands without using the car-go to the bank, video store, dry cleaner or convenience store on foot
  • Make a morning or evening walk a regular part of your family's routine
  • Spend more leisure time with your family being active-play tag, basketball, soccer or ride bikes
  • Along with your other weekly activities, write down times for physical activity and post a schedule for the family
  • Make several trips up and down the stairs to do laundry or other household chores
  • Take your dog for a walk
  • Walk to your place of worship for services
  • Focus on walking distance over speed. It's better to get in more steps at a comfortable pace than to burn out quickly
  • Walk on a treadmill on rainy days or when it's too dark to walk outside
  • Benefit a good cause by joining a charity walk
