COLUMBUS - Columbus Physical Therapy, P.C., congratulates Steve Line on his 10-year anniversary with the clinic. Steve Line received his BS degree from UNL and his Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed internship training in a variety of settings including orthopedics/sports medicine, acute, neurological rehab, and pediatrics.
He assumed his first physical therapy job at Grand Island Physical Therapy and worked exclusively in industrial rehabilitation including job site assessments, onsite occupational health clinics and focused on treatment and rehabilitation of the spine. He helped start and operate an on-site physical therapy clinic in a physician practice specializing in workers compensation.
He then took the opportunity to come to Columbus, Neb., to operate and direct a small physical therapy practice and has since purchased the practice. It has expanded more than seven times its original size, into a new 5,600 square foot facility at 3211 25th St. Steve evaluates and treats outpatient orthopedic clients at the clinic, manages the physical therapy services at a local skilled nursing facility and addresses needs of in-home physical therapy clients.
He has added many treatment amenities to service clients by getting special training in hand and wrist rehabilitation and custom splinting, fabrication of foot orthotics, certifications in functional capacity evaluations, pre-work screening, job-site assessments and many new procedures in spinal mobilization and rehabilitation.
Steve received a certification in Athletic Training from the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification, and received his specialty certification in orthopedics from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He is a SportsMetrics™ Trainer and currently serves in the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association Chapter and the American Physical Therapy Association. He is locally involved in the Elks Club, Rotary and Chamber of Commerce. He is married (Kristine) and has two sons (Evan and Derek).
