“I grew up in Kenesaw, Nebraska and was active with sports throughout high school. I was lucky enough to avoid serious injury while playing, but I was always drawn to the team of people working with injured athletes. This interest in recovery led me to shadow several healthcare professions and get a look at what each held. While shadowing a physical therapist, I was drawn to the hands-on aspect of care and how well the physical therapist worked with the patient to identify the problem, correlate that problem to a musculoskeletal issue, and then educate the patient on how to correct the issue.”

“What I enjoy the most about physical therapy are the relationships built while helping people maximize their health. I understand each person I work with has a unique set of goals and motivators that drive them, and I strive to understand those goals to ensure they achieve their potential. I have had the opportunity to work with several patients with vestibular and balance disorders, and that experience opened my eyes to a whole new world of care provided in physical therapy. Many people believe that dizziness is something they just must cope with but there are several interventions that can be taken to improve their quality of life.”

“I enjoy getting outside and being active by riding my bike and playing golf. I have had the opportunity to play at golf courses all over the state, and I look forward to playing in the Northeast. I am a big Husker fan so most Saturdays in the fall you can find me in Lincoln with family and friends headed to a game.”
